Training

Thanks for visiting the Training Information page for the Yorktown Triathlon Club. We are a new club and as such are looking forward to growing our athlete base. At this time our members are providing workouts which are scheduled and advertised on our Facebook Page. We invite anyone who wants to train with other local triathletes. Just show up ready for a workout and some fun! You are not limited to the planned workout, and are welcome to accomplish your specific workout goals alongside the rest of the group. We certainly want to allow non-members an opportunity to train with us and ultimately see the value in joining our new adventure as a registered Club Member. We are here to encourage and facilitate training between and for our members. Members are urged to share their scheduled workouts on Face Book if they wish company and motivation.
Listed below are some of our frequently scheduled workouts. Please note, members are urged to get latest information on the Club’s Facebook Calendar since weather and calendar conflicts may affect scheduled workout.

    • Open water – Weekly Open Water Swim (until the Jelly Fish make an appearance)

 

Clinics:

  • Training Clinics will be offered at least once a month (except during the summer racing season) to further knowledge base for athletes from Novice to Ironman. These include subject matter such as injury prevention, running form, flat tire changing, stroke improvement, and nutrition.
